What To Ask When Hiring a Janitorial Service. Part I.

At Universal Janitorial Services, we’re often asked about our policies, whether they are about securing your property, cleaning your facility, or maintaining quality standards, so we thought it might be interesting to explore the different aspects of what to look for when choosing a janitorial service. Here are a couple of items to think about, and we’ll offer more in our future blog posts.

Ask About Experience
While lack of experience shouldn’t keep someone from doing business with what otherwise seems like a qualified janitorial service, it is always better to choose a company with a solid record of stellar service. As businesses become more efficient and effective as they go along, and so does Universal Janitorial Services. We’ve been in business for over 30 years.

Ask About Staff
Each employee should go through a thorough background check prior to employment, and be placed in position conducive to their individual talents and personality. Longevity is also a good sign. Many of our employees have been with us over a decade.

Ask About Communication
Constant communication is the key to building great relationships with customers. A great janitorial service will inspect a client’s facility on a routine basis to ensure their employees are performing their duties exceptionally well. In turn, they should offer clients regular feedback as to what additional work may be needed to make their facility look its absolute best. At Universal Janitorial Services, we make it a policy to follow up with our clients regularly to ensure they are happy with our service.
